Antigua Village is closest to, and associated with, The Halcyon Cove Tennis Club at the Halcyon Cove Hotel. Four excellent floodlit courts, equipment rental and sales, and full coaching facilities with hitting partners also available.

Cricket The National Sport. Played more or less year round but the ‘season’ for professional and international matches is through the winter months. Nothing is more exciting than watching International Test Cricket at the Antigua Recreation Ground. An experience to be treasured even by those who would normally be bored or mystified by the game. Aside from watching the professional game there is always the opportunity to see keenly fought Village cricket matches or even to join in games of fun beach cricket.

Cycling is a booming sport in Antigua.  An excellent way to explore the island and its less accessible regions and event to join in the road races and fun-rides. There are a number of companies offering guided tours on mountain bikes by arrangement, with special rates for families.  Tours, in groups of six or more, are accompanied by a ‘following’ support vehicle with refreshments.  Alternatively, hire an adult mountain bike with safety helmet and locks and plan your own adventure.

Exercise/Fitness/Gyms There are many first class gyms in Antigua – weight training and work out enthusiasts needn’t worry about unwanted holiday weight being put on – you will be able to keep yourself as toned and fit as you wish.  There are a number of small local fitness centres dotted around the island.  In most you will find free weights, first class weight, running and step machines, various studio keep fit/aerobic classes and changing, locker and shower facilities. A fabulous new facility is soon to open adjacent to the Stanford Cricket Ground at V. C. Bird Airport, just fifteen minutes from Antigua Village.

Horse Riding Another very popular recreation that is available on Antigua. The Antigua Horse Society is based at the Spring Hill Riding Club in Falmouth - a superb Caribbean horse riding stable, set amongst gorgeous countryside and near the sea.

Tropikelly Trails
Comfortable Mitsubishi Pajeros take you to the lesser known, quieter parts of the island and beautiful, historic sights which not many have the opportunity to see, including old forts, plantation houses and sugar mills.  Fully insured with passenger liability their guides escort you to the unusual and spectacular, from sea level to the highest point on the island.  They provide a shaded, water’s edge picnic-style lunch the day finishes with a swim.

Casinos Licensed casinos are very popular in Antigua. The newest and Grandest by far is the Grand Princess Casino at Jolly Harbour. As well as most of the popular tables this casino also boast fine dining, a sports bar and popular nightclub. There are a number of well established casinos in St. John’s and others at some of the larger resorts throughout the island.
